Veema Bhantoa-Newman

In 1997 I found myself in a music studio for the first time, entirely by accident, and in that moment I knew that I found my place.  Since then I sought out studios that allowed me to come and make tea for them in return for letting me learn from their engineers.

 

I went on to study Music Tech and Sound Engineering at Deep Recording Studios in London. In 2016 I took a career break to undertake a Masters Degree in Audio Engineering at the University of Hertfordshire which I passed with Commendation.

 

Over the years I have recorded countless independent and unsigned artists and bands across London and Hertfordshire.  I have taught Music Production and Studio Techniques, Recorded and edited videos.

I have also worked on sound to picture projects for independent films such as Wildside with composer Jocelyn Book, Only Human with composer Charlie Mole and The Young Visitors with composer Nicholas Hooper.
